Don’t Stress Your Back At Work
Do have a job that places a lot of strain on your neck and back? Whether you are on your feet all day, sitting at a desk, or working on a patient, you have the potential to develop back problems by repeating bad habits and postural positions. Here are a few tips to create a back friendly working environment.
1. Wear Comfortable shoes! It’s not easy to find shoes that are both comfortable and stylish. Check out some of the following brands for great shoes: Beautifeel, La Canadienne, Thierry Rabotin, Anyilu
2. Watch your posture. If you are sitting at a desk all day, find a good postural position (back upright, feet flat of the floor) and then adjust your computer to that position. If you are working on a patient, try to move the patient to a position that is comfortable for you.
3. Use a chair with good back support
4. Take a back break. Stretch, take a short walk, get the blood flowing. It is good to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day.
